This is my face after purging. Don’t I look attractive? No, I didn’t think so. I actually look the exact opposite. If you think purging is going to make you look more attractive, chew on this. I have been purging for over four years now. I haven’t gotten any skinnier, I’ve actually gained a significant amount of weight. Yes, sometimes purging causes weight loss, but more than not, you will gain weight. You usually only purge around 50% of the calories you consume.
Purging will not make you happy. You wont get friends, or a boyfriend/girlfriend, you wont get anything but a failing body, which includes rotting teeth, puffy cheeks, damaged internal organs, esophagus and stomach problems, to name a few. This isn’t glamorous, or a quick-fix-diet. This is not a way to get ready for bikini season or prom or whatever. This is a disorder.
This also ruins lives. It’s ruining mine. Look at my face. I don’t look happy, because I’m not. My bulimia is killing me. And not only me, my friend might have a cancerous tumor on her liver, due to her eating disorder.
Please guys, if you are reading this, please, take what I’m saying into consideration. This has a high potential of killing you. If you are thinking of purging, or doing any eating disordered behavior, please stop. It’s not worth it. You are beautiful and strong and amazing just the way you are, do not let this disease destroy you from the inside out. Don’t let what happened to me, what’s happening to me, to you. You deserve so much better. Be safe and stay strong guys, please. <3
